this is a very special self portrait. i wonder if it could be taken at any other time, not to put too much weight in the technology, but rather with the mindset of the modern world and the question of where the self exists. the hand raised, is that for protection or obfuscation? it seems the latter.
And of course, this type of self-portraits can be created in a similar manner (analogue). The negative can be manipulated or depending on the way you print it on the paper (old school style).
