The Mandala starts!

I was working a new piece for our Mandala group! We had an exhibition  in St. Louis Artist Guild Gallery @stlartistsguild during January 2023

I have painted a flower today.
Yep, just this single flower for this canvas.
This canvas belongs to @grayfinchstudios and we are playing “exquisite corpses” soon this canvas will be intervened by more artist till our canvases returns to each owner.

We are working with floral subjects, so I have decided I will apply this same flower to each canvas as part of my signature.

It will be interesting to see how I will make for this as a part of a composition, but I suppose composition now is responsibility of every artist who is next. You can see the original piece in the last picture. Wait for the next canvas! πŸŒΊπŸŽ¨πŸ‘©πŸ»‍🎨.

Hello my people! Finally yesterday I brought 2 new canvases to keep painting for our Mandala project.
Now I have Mary and Maria canvases and I will be doing an intervention during the next week.
To see a little video about this check my reels. Stay tuned. 😊.

And this is where I stop.
I have painted my part for this piece, for me this is kind of Grunge Art and I just love the idea about to deal with something that is completely different from what I am used. You can see how this piece came to me (last picture) and how I added some more of color and elements. I can’t wait to see how this piece will look finished by the following artist. 🎨.

Abstract and Experimental

Start Over
12x12 acrylic on paper
Today I selected to work with red colors because many reasons: today is Tuesday and I always have imagine Tuesday is red, also because is the first painting from my abstract project and red is the first color of the rainbow. (But not primary) also because lately I have been into red colors, maybe because I feel that passion for life, I see red as the color of being alive but also as something powerful, despite the negative connotations that red color can have, I think sometimes we need this color to grow strong in certain areas. I’m not usually a red person but when I use it I like to enjoy it with passion. ❤️πŸŽπŸŒΉπŸ’‹πŸ«€πŸ§£πŸ„πŸ”₯πŸ’πŸŒΆπŸŒ…πŸ§²πŸ©ΈπŸŽˆπŸ“ŒπŸ–❤️‍πŸ”₯.

City scape.
12x12” acrylic on paper.🎨
Yesterday I started this painting today I have completed it.
At the beginning I wanted just blue and greens, but today I ended with magentas and black. 🎨.

Oaxaca Inspired

Hello fiends, I’m taking a little break and I will sharing a bit about the magic of Oaxaca. So far I am enjoying a lot the fresh weather (after Juarez rotisserieπŸ₯΅) the streets are so colorful and the marquesitas delicious! For sure I will be recharging myself artistically and creatively. πŸŒˆπŸ‘©πŸ»‍πŸŽ¨πŸ«€πŸ§ πŸ‘€

Fantastic day walking downtown visiting Templo de Santo Domingo, Biblioteca, and Basilica de Nuestra SeΓ±ora de la Soledad.
Templo de Santo Domingo is absolutely stunning and so far my favorite. πŸ’–

.
Oaxaca is full of art, colors and flavors, this time I went to the Mercado 20 de Noviembre, and I went to a little place called Chabelita to eat a Veggie Tlayuda…it was amazing! Chabelita was so kind and I told her “I will return tomorrow” lol… the food was great and I recommend her tasty food. Another thing that I loooove is the green cantera (green natural stone) that you can see in many buildings and corridors. πŸ’š

Love from Monte Alban!
I spotted a heart cloud and a heart stone at the same moment. Isn’t amazing? Also I saw a very cool tree with fantastic roots 🀍🀎.

Finally I had the fortune to visit Monte Alban, a large pre-Columbian archaeological site founded 500 BC. The clouds around were beautiful! ☁️🀍.

will tell you with emojis: 🌳 🌞 ✨ πŸ’– πŸ‡²πŸ‡½.

Visiting CuilΓ‘pam de Guerrero, this place The Ex-monastery of Santiago ApΓ³stol, you can see a blending of indigenous elements into the Christian framework, done in order to support the evangelization process in the local Mixtec and Zapotec peoples was supposed to be a Dominicans Convent but was not finished, it was started during 1530 ✨

Hierve el Agua. One of my favorite places in Oaxaca where I ended up drenched in rain but very happy because of the incredible landscapes. ☁️⛰ ..

I have been admiring cactus a lot and I see myself in the future having a few big ones (beside the small succulents that I have) it so cool to see the roads with these that I had to paint them.
