WHITE LILIES

Happy to have finished this special order that I've been working on the past few weeks for a super beautiful client in Germany, who is also Mexican like me. This painting is almost ready to go to a new house.

NOCTURNAL FLOWER

“Nocturnal flower” I have finished something πŸ–Š 🎨.

After doing experimentation with a selfie and mixing a lot of colors and shapes, I have finished this self portrait. You can find some prints or mix media canvas embellishments. πŸ–ŠπŸŽ¨

PRACTICING SMALL OIL PAINTINGS

Trees at sunset, oil 8x10”
Finally I have painted these trees with that special light from the sunset.🌳 ✨.

Red Gerberas oil 8x10”.
I have been spending these days painting small canvases, after being hooked with this style of brushstrokes I can say I can feel it so natural, organic, like just flowing from my hands like energy passing through my fingers to the canvas. I can’t wait to explore many subjects! Meanwhile today I have made this floral still life. πŸŽ¨πŸ‘©πŸ»‍🎨❤️.

Ice tea, oil 8x10”

This one is very special, it took me a nice amount of time exploring with colors and doing color extraction. This style of painting brings me a lot of joy and I just want to turn everything like this 😁 once you start with color extraction nothing is the same and you start looking all around like a crazy color explorer. Like if your pupils were dilated and the colors just changes. I could explain this better in Spanish and in person πŸ˜‚ so I will stop now. πŸ™πŸ»πŸŽ¨.

Jar with flowers πŸ’.
Oil on canvas 8x11” .
Painting from last night. It’s funny to be at the studio just with a tiny light and all the colors, I’m used to work during the day but I have found a lot of joy by painting during nights lately. It’s funny too because my sight is not perfect and during night the colors looks different. It’s cool to wake up and see how it looks actually under daylight. πŸ˜„πŸŽ¨πŸ‘©πŸ»‍🎨.

Chamomile tea
Oil 8x10”
A quick morning painting
πŸ«– 🎨

Agaves from Red Rocks.
Oil 8x10”
Happy with this landscape, I painted it during nighttime and I finished in the morning, this one has been so fluent and joyful to do. I still have a bunch of 8x10” canvases and I can’t wait to paint the next one πŸ˜€πŸ‘©πŸ»‍🎨🎨.

PAINTING FLOWERS WITH PROCREATE

Daisies! I have painted the daisies from a picture that I have and I like so much. ✨

Echinaceas. These flowers are so pretty and so good for our health. I have been using them as tea to boos my immune system. Did you know echinacea means Strength and Health? I took the photo of reference about 6 years ago.πŸ’œπŸ’— I will have embellished oil paintings from my echinaceas in a couple of days.

Purple irises. πŸ’œ the first time I saw them was in Des Moines, the first time I have painted them was probably when I was 16 inspired by Van Gogh. Irises are beautiful because they have some kind of flow effect every time when I see them. I took these pictures in Des Moines and I made the painting yesterday. Now I have the embellishments with oils for those who wants to have Irises. πŸ’œ.

So glad I made this digital painting from my Chicago Peace Rose, I bought a small bush last year and I took a few pictures, this winter I put them indoors, on my laundry room to keep them safe from the ice. I have been taking care of them since a month ago and I am happy and surprised to see how they are growing, today I discovered the first rosebud, I can’t wait to see them all blooming πŸ€—πŸ˜πŸ’ .

DIGITAL SELFIES

Do we have magick? ✨We like to seek for magick because we are already. We enjoy it because is already inside us but it has to be manifested. It can reveal to ourselves as a sound, a color, a thought, a smell and eventually all connects in wholeness, all, everyone in one. Magick is key, maybe is why we add the “k” at the end.

πŸ’šπŸŒΏI
’m a Mother’s Nature child and I have made this digital painting to cover my head with leaves.
I took this picture a couple of years ago and I just found it,so I have turned it into a painting. I think was a good picture to see during February when I wish for spring or summer the most. I think this is a perfect time for prepare the mind and soul for the coming months, I miss the warmth, or the cold water during a hot day, to grow more childish along nature because at the end is where we all are going to end to start again.
πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

πŸ’– Here a self portrait that I have painted with procreate. πŸ™‚

I hope everyone knows how special you are, and that you have the blessing of having someone with you to tell this. If you don’t, then know that you are the biggest blessing.

SINGING WITH FIRE

Has been so cold! But I can stay warm next to the chimney just by looking and listening the fire. So I thought about blending the sound of the log with my voice and a repetitive tune as a relaxing activity and to experiment with the fire sound.

We have had two cold fronts with snow and sleet, so as part of my therapy I began to record the sounds of the fire in my fireplace, then I was singing in the bathroom. yes, typical clichΓ© but it is true, the bathroom has good acoustics and there is less noise, then this happened.

EXPLORATION OF SOUND

Hello everyone!
Today I want to share something new because as always…trying new things, 2 years ago I started singing more as therapy than anything else thanks to the pandemic lockdown, now I focus more on the sound of the voice, silence and nature because it relaxes me, so sporadically I will be uploading videos collecting natural sounds and with a bit of singing. Everything is experimental but so healing for me and maybe for you. I opened a channel and account exclusively to collect them. I invite you to watch and follow EXPLORATION OF SOUND and via instagram too @valeria_explorationofsound 🐦

Winter usually gives me SAD~ (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
And during that time I try to find comfort and be in touch with myself to try to maintain a balance, sometimes it's difficult but I love it when I find methods, practices or therapies through experimentation, and always related to nature or creativity. , because for me this is the best way to heal.

Since COVID began, she began to sing for me and I loved it, in this way it helped me release stress, but I am not a professional singer, I only let my inner child sing.
Then I discovered how important the sound of our own voice is and how powerful it is for us.
Yes! Your voice is powerful to you and you can find calm by listening to your voice humming a little or just whispering to yourself and listening.

Or at least found that this has worked for me.
I don't like to sing in public as a soloist, I'm super shy for this and I don't see myself as a singer but as a person who likes to play because I play with my voice and I enjoy my voice. , our voices are amazing instruments to play and maybe some are born with this ability or maybe we just need to educate our voice.
But I don't think too much about this topic, I just let myself flow, sing and enjoy.

There are many ways to sing, but what resonates with me is just making sounds, no logical words, not even a language, it just sounds through the voice.

And since I am not a musician but I find beautiful sounds of nature, I decided to record nature and make it my music.

Has silence heard? Silence also has a sound and I love it.
I hope that with my videos you can find something special through sound export.
