THE GUARDIAN OF THE RED GARDEN, MY NEWEST PAINTING!

 HELLO FRIENDS!

Happy May, one of the most beautiful months of the year because there is so much green, flowers, colors and nice weather! Finally.

Im very happy because I have finished my painting of the wolf and it turned beautiful, so I want to talk about this.

From my work during April 2025.

"Guardian of the red garden"

Acrylic and oil on cotton canvas 24x30”

Signed and certified.

Since November 2024 I have been very close to wolves and this affinity led me to create some sketches to paint. In the end, I selected two for this year, so I started with the simplest one, which is the one you see here. At first, I saw it more as a study, but as I painted, it became more than that.

This is one of my reddest paintings! The ones that come to mind right now are Start Over, an abstract piece, and Red Horse, this horse, also in a figurative abstract style.

For my paintings and sketches, I've been inspired by several things. One of them is Aurora's song "running with the Wolves". For this piece in particular, I was inspired by isolation and that sense of protecting my space. From a passive perspective, like this wolf, but also wild inside.

That's how I see it., as a majestic white wolf, it's fur soft and detailed with flowing brushstrokes of white, grey, and hints of soft pastels. He’s Protecting his red peonies, which add passion to this atmosphere. And if you look closely, the wolf has red marks on his face, adding a little more drama and leaving it to your imagination to figure out what it is.

Is it blood for protecting his garden? The Blood of him or from the intruder?

The wolf's golden, slightly mysterious eye looks calmly into the distance, giving the creature an air of wisdom and quiet strength despite its wildness.

Surrounding the wolf is a lush, vivid explosion of peonies — rich reds, deep oranges, warm yellows, and soft creams — creating a beautiful, almost dreamlike contrast against the wolf’s pale coat. The background feels alive with movement, as if the flowers are both blooming and swirling around the wolf in a protective embrace.

I think the entire piece feels both wild and tender, balancing the quiet and untamed spirit of the wolf with the lush beauty of nature. The color palette is warm and rich, yet the white wolf stands out as a pure, almost mythical figure. It's a magical, soulful painting that feels full of story and emotion.

This week was full of food! Im a vegetarian foodie so here I share one Nepalese restaurants from St. Louis that I like.
It's called Everest Cafe & Bar it's the only restaurant in Saint Louis that serves Nepalese, Korean, and Indian cuisine. Dr. States is from Nepal, and his wife, Maya Gurung, is from South Korea.

And near the restaurant I saw a very colorful mural!

Also I have been working with my botanical products but I want to show you the earrings that I did with Azalea flowers from my neighbor's house. His son requested me to create some earrings for his wife and this is how they turned out and you can see the Azaleas on the background from where I took them.

I sold a painting in Australia, This is a painting that I did as a Frida Khalo's tudy during a workshop
