ABSTRACT PAINTING AND THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE SOPHIA M. SACHS

Hello friends!

Happy weekend everyone...

I am happy to see the progress of my painting with a chaos in order, has been relaxing to paint by squares to keep the order of the mess, this time I have been using only the knife and also I have included some Terrazzo Flakes by Folk Art and it looks pretty cool.

I have left the swan for the end so you will see that part in the next post. I am very excited about this painting as I don't paint much abstraction but I really enjoy it and I can't wait to finish.

Last Saturday I went to the Butterfly House Sophia M. Sachs in Chesterfiled, Missouri and this place it's absolutely beautiful.

The Butterfly House is a not-for-profit organization which was established in 1995 to increase awareness of the natural habitat in which butterflies thrive.

This place is so welcoming, you can feel a warm environment full of color and beauty, you can see more insects there, but I focused in the butterflies this time.
Once you enter to the special room where they are freely flying in a well designed area, they welcome you as soon as you open the door like when someone thrown you confetti as a surprise.
The sunlight through the windows and the humid tropical collection of plants and trees makes the perfect combination to keep you entertained appreciating the butterflies, I liked this place also because they take care of them ethically and they help them to be safe to reproduce.

This place it's so inspiring and I hope to return and maybe paint there.

After my visit I spent all days at home painting and resting, thinking about my painting, doing a studio make over and trying to put order to my ideas and intuition.

I went for a long walk and while I was speaking with God I saw a card on the grass, it was the 3 of diamonds, something made me stop and picking it up, it had a bit of mud but I didn’t care, I just felt I had to take it with me, my surprise was the moment when I turned the card, I saw this pair of beautiful red macaws. Then I understood this was a call, a message and I love when this happens.

Have you experience something like this? like a clue or some kind of answer when you talk with God?
I hope so.

Enjoy the life even with the chaos...."Chaos is the catalyst for change.".
love, Valeria.
